This June, you can sail from Monkey Mia, through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shark Bay and (weather permitting) past the spectacular Abrolhos Islands. Leeuwin Ocean Adventure is welcoming individuals with a sense of adventure and a love of the great outdoors to join them on a week-long, once in a lifetime sailing experience.

Departing from Monkey Mia on 2 June, you’ll be drawn into an exhilarating hands-on experience and will help run a traditional tall ship. TheSTS Leeuwin IIis 55 metres long, 33 metres tall and has an impressive 16 sails. On board, you’ll help set and furl the sails, climb the masts, assist with navigating the ship and stand watch through the night. But don’t worry – no previous sailing experience is required! You’ll learn everything you need to know on the ship. 

On the eight-day voyage, you’ll explore Western Australia’s iconic coral coastline from a unique vantage point. Throughout the voyage, you’ll sail in some of Western Australia’s most famous waters including Shark Bay and past the infamous Zuytdorp Cliffs, docking in Geraldton. Explore Australia’s most Western point and the site of the 1616 landing by Dutch explorer Dirk Hartog!

Spending a night under the stars at sea is an experience you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
